Being essential means that our organism cannot synthesize them, therefore, they have to be consumed obligatorily in the diet. The lack or deficit of these essential fatty acids in the diet can cause serious metabolic alterations.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1387\" src=\"https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Healthy-food-min-300x188.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"999\" height=\"626\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Healthy-food-min-300x188.png 300w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Healthy-food-min-1030x645.png 1030w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Healthy-food-min-768x481.png 768w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Healthy-food-min-705x442.png 705w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Healthy-food-min.png 1181w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 999px) 100vw, 999px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\">According to the current dietary recommendations, essential fatty acids should be consumed in an adequate proportion, ideally in a relation 4:1 of omega-6: omega-3, until a maximum of 10:1 (<span lang=\"en-GB\">Simopoulos, 2002<\/span>; G\u00f3mez-Candela et al. 2011). 2011).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Some<\/span>studies show that even if there is evidence that keeping the proportion omega-3: omega-3 is important- especially under certain health circumstances-, what is really important is to keep a high intake of omega-3, even if the omega-6 is also high.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1389\" src=\"https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/shelled-Hemp-seeds-min-300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"996\" height=\"664\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/shelled-Hemp-seeds-min-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/shelled-Hemp-seeds-min-1030x687.png 1030w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/shelled-Hemp-seeds-min-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/shelled-Hemp-seeds-min-705x470.png 705w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/shelled-Hemp-seeds-min.png 1378w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 996px) 100vw, 996px\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Hempseed oil has on average a 3:1 relation, which is only exceeded by the linseed oil (1:4). Olive oil has a relation 10:1 of omega 6: omega-3 (Figure 1).<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">These fatty oils and their intake in a correct proportion have been widely investigated for their antiinflammatory properties and their possible protective effects against hearth diseases, obesity, diabetes, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune diseases, and cancer (Soko\u0142a-Wysocza\u0144ska et al., 2018;<\/span> <span lang=\"en-GB\">Simopoulos,<\/span> <span lang=\"en-GB\">2002).<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1390\" src=\"https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/HempOilSeeds-min-300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"995\" height=\"663\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/HempOilSeeds-min-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/HempOilSeeds-min-1030x686.png 1030w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/HempOilSeeds-min-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/HempOilSeeds-min-705x470.png 705w, https:\/\/greenandgrowth.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/HempOilSeeds-min.png 1181w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 995px) 100vw, 995px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Furthermore, hempseed oil has \ud835\udefe-linolenic acid (GLA), a long chain omega-6 fatty acid, which has high nutritional and metabolic importance.<\/span> <span lang=\"en-GB\">Kapoor and Huang (2006)<\/span> <span lang=\"en-GB\">describe<\/span> <span lang=\"en-GB\">the role of GLA in the regulation of inflammatory responses, acting as a biosynthetic precursor of the synthesis of anti-inflammatory eicosanoids.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"justify\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Other important data is that the synthesis of this long chain fatty acid could be<\/span> <span lang=\"en-GB\">insufficient<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\"> under some biological states as fetal development or breastfeeding. This is because the immature organism of the fetus and of the new born cannot synthesize it at a sufficient pace; therefore, they have to take it from their mother.
